Nadia de Araujo
Nadia de Araujo acts as counsel and arbitrator in domestic and international commercial arbitrations, in addition to conducting international litigation in Brazil and abroad. She is engaged as an appointed expert on Brazilian law in proceedings before foreign courts and in international arbitrations. She is a Member of the Permanent Review Court of the Mercosur and Member of the Brazilian National Group of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague. She authors one of the main books on Private International Law in Brazil, currently in its 9th edition, and has been a Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro since 1985. Her academic work is regularly used as a source of authority and quoted in court decisions. She is routinely appointed as specialist to the Brazilian delegation at the Hague Conference on Private International Law.
